The DSPCA is Ireland’s leading animal welfare organisation, established over 180 years ago in 1840. Over the years we have grown to be the leading and largest animal welfare charity in Ireland. We exist uniquely to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome sick, injured and cruelly treated animals.

The Head of HR will be the go-to person for our people strategy and all employee-related matters. The Head of HR role will involve leading and managing activities such as organisational structure, job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management systems, training & development and talent management.

Job Purpose
As Head of HR, you will be developing, advising and acting upon policies relating to the most effective use of the DSPCA’s staff. You will be responsible for ensuring the DSPCA employs the right team members in terms of experience and skill while also making sure that there are plenty of growth opportunities available to employees seeking to further their career at the DSPCA. The role of the Head of HR is critical to our success in terms of building and fostering a culture and structure that supports the delivery of our Vision, Mission and Strategy. People are our most important asset and you’ll be the one to ensure we have a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our established mission and objectives.
