Yuki

Meet Yuki, a young playful girl that is starting to loose some of her sparkle! Yuki has been waiting over 500 days for a family to call her own. Despite so many appeals, and glowing feedback from volunteers who’ve taken her on sleepovers, Yuki still sits and waits. She was surrendered to us in April 2024, and now aged 2 years and 3 months old, she has spent the majority of her young life in a shelter. She’s missed out on routine, stability, and the love every dog deserves. Yuki is a playful and super smart girl who loves being with people and other dogs. She would thrive in a home with another dog of similar energy who’s looking for a best friend to play with. She loves training, learning new things, and will do just about anything for a tasty treat. Yuki would be the perfect match for an active family; she adores off-site adventures and exploring the world beyond the shelter.

Below is what one of her foster moms had to say about her:
She loves walking anywhere you’ll come across water and playing in streams is her favourite past time, she gets major zoomies. After her walks snuggling on the couch is where she’s really at home, she loves being close. Yuki adapted to the routine in our house really well, she knows when I’m working and will lay at my feet, she knows dinner time and not to beg for food, she is also house trained. Yuki has been trained to do simple commands like sit, paw, stay, wait, lay, bed, watch me, continuing with these will be beneficial to helping her adjust in a new home. My children are 13 and 16 and very dog savvy, Yuki adores them and they adore her. I had Yuki for a couple of months and my heart is broken that I cannot keep her, she deserves the world but what I hope is a patient person will come and commit to continuing her training because that person will get the best and most loyal dog there could be.

While Yuki is friendly with everyone she meets, she can be a little bouncy with excitement, so she’s best suited to a home with teenagers or adults.

This poor girl has been let down too many times, but she still waits with hope in her eyes. Everyone deserves a best friend who loves them unconditionally and our girl Yuki is ready to be that for someone. Her humans are out there somewhere!
