Wagamama

Wagamama is a young female ferret who was handed into a petshop right after Christmas. She was likely an unwanted pet bought as a present without research being done on her care. Wagamama is a very gentle girlie who is only about six months old. She is quiet and cuddly and loves attention and exploring new places! She’s incredibly tame and just loves to be around people 🙂 This girl also loves her comfort and being warm and cosy in some comforting blankets is her favourite place to be!

Thank you for choosing to adopt a small animal from the DPSCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. Ferrets have a strong smell which does improve after neutering but it is something you would need to be comfortable with in order to keep these animals as pets. Ferrets need a large high enclosure in which to spend their time.  Ferrets are social and can be kept in pairs or groups.

Ferrets are incredibly intelligent and social animals and would need a family with plenty of time to give them attention, play games with them and exercise them, especially if they are the only ferret in the home. They make wonderful affectionate cuddley pets to the right person 🙂

Indoor ferrets can live in a chinchilla cage, roughly 2metres x 1metre x 1metre with multiple levels. Despite having a strong smell, they are very clean animals that are easily litter trained.

Ferrets are very social with other ferrets. Other females or a neutered male would be best for Wagamama.

Wagamama will need may need to be spayed with an exotics specialist by her new owners when she’s older.
