Trixie came into NSPCA Dublin from another rescue in search of her forever home. On arrival she was nervous and unsure. Arriving into a shelter or new environment can be overwhelming and stressful. She slowly started to settle into shelter life and her personality has began to shine. Underneath her shyness was a young playful girl. She has become confident, playful and energetic with a cheeky side to her also. She will suit an active family that will bring her on lots of adventures. She will need a family that will be willing to give her the time and patience she will need to settle into another new environment and understand she may go back to being a little nervous at first. Since building her confidence she has become a social butterfly with other dogs and has become the go to dog to introduce new dogs to in the shelter. She is playful and would love a play buddy in her new home. Collies by nature are extremely intelligent and Trixie is no different. She will benefit from training to help to provide her with mental stimulation and enrichment which is equally as important as physical exercise. She will suit an experienced home with teenagers or adults and would love to live with another playful dog pending a dog meet.
