Peanut Butter
Peanut Butter is a three year old Mongolian gerbil who came in to us after his owners could no longer look after him. He had an injury to his arm resulting in limited use of his right arm. After multiple x-rays and pain medication, he has recovered incredibly well thanks to the amazing vet team here and he is using his right arm really well but it may never be fully functional.
However, this certainly doesn’t stop Jelly living his best life! He is a super curious, happy gerbil who likes to sit in your hands and investigate what’s going on. His favourite treats are fresh leafy greens like pak choi and any soft juicy treats!
We are looking for a super home for Peanut Butter; he deserves it! We think his injuries came from living with another gerbil so although gerbils are typically social and live in groups, we wouldn’t want Peanut Butter to injure himself any further so would prefer him to go to a home where he is the only gerbil but that he would get lots of love from his humans.
Gerbils chew plastic with ease so he needs an enclosure that is a minimum 100 x 50cm ideally with no plastic components.
