Mikey

Meet Mikey! Mikey came into the NSPCA through our inspectors as his owner could no longer care for him. He is a friendly boy that loves pets, belly rubs and to be pampered. He loves showing off his goofy side when out playing in the off lead areas here at the shelter. He enjoys running around and playing with the staff and volunteers and will flop down on his side for a much needed rest afterwards. He gets on well with other dogs and has made some doggie pals here at the shelter. Mikey loves his food and treats and because of this he is on a diet. On arrival to the shelter he was a big 53.7 kg. He has now lost 2 kg and is making great progress. He will need a family who will be willing to help keep active and reach a healthy weight. He is enjoying his walks and is building his stamina up everyday. Mikey will suit an experienced adult home who are used to his breeds. His family will need to be willing to give him time the time and patience to settle into a new environment as he may find the move stressful. He travels well in the car and would love to take new adventures with his family. Although he loves interacting with dogs out and about, he would be best suited to a home as an only dog as he likes to have his own space within the home. Mikey is not a fan of going to the vets. He will need an owner that will continue to work alongside an understanding vet.
