Meet Mikey! Mikey came into the NSPCA through our inspectors as his owner could no longer care for him. He is a friendly boy that loves pets, belly rubs and to be pampered. He loves showing off his goofy side when out playing in the off lead areas here at the shelter. He enjoys running around and playing with the staff and volunteers and will flop down on his side for a much needed rest afterwards. He gets on well with other dogs and has made some doggie pals here at the shelter. Mikey loves his food and treats and because of this he is on a diet. On arrival to the shelter he was a big 53.7 kg. He has now lost 2 kg and is making great progress. He will need a family who will be willing to help keep active and reach a healthy weight. He is enjoying his walks and is building his stamina up everyday. Mikey will suit a family experienced with larger breeds and a home with teenagers or adults. He could live with another dog pending a dog meet.
