Meet the wonderfully unique Marley Soft Paw – he is a 2.5 year old astrex lop cross male rabbit who came into the NSPCA after his owners could sadly no longer keep him. He was well loved and well looked after and he didn’t do anything wrong. Marley is initally a little reserved around new people but he has had alot of changes in his life recently and so we can’t blame him! He has lived in a family home so is used to the hustle and bustle of family life and he takes it in his stride. Marley is an incredibly unusual breed of rabbit; an astrex rabbit is a rex rabbit with a slightly kinked coat, giving them an almost sheep-like curly coat and whiskers! This along with his lop ears make him just irresistible don’t you think?
Thank you for choosing to adopt a small animal from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 120 x 60cm for one rabbit with plenty of indoor free roam time.
Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need.
All our rabbits are spayed/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.
