Daisy

Meet Daisy! This girl came into our care from another rescue, after being found as a stray. She had an old injury to her leg and required veterinary treatment. She has been the best patient, and has been soaking up the extra TLC she has been getting from staff and volunteers. She has had to rest up since her surgery, which is tough going for energetic breeds like Patterdales, but we have been keeping her busy with toys and fun food puzzles. Unfortunately after extensive vet care, her leg has not healed and she is needing her leg amputated. We are eager to find her forever home for when she is healed and ready to move on. She is a super friendly lady, who can make friends everywhere she goes. Once fully healed, Daisy will be a lively dog who loves getting out for long walks, or fun games with her family. Despite being a small breed, Patterdales are high energy, and require training and lots of mental stimulation to keep them occupied. Daisy does have an off switch though, and enjoys cuddles with her favourite people. She will make a great companion for someone looking for a dog to join them on fun adventures, and then curl up on the couch together afterwards. She could possibly live with another dog of similar energy, pending a meet. She would be best suited with older children in the home.
