Burger Bun

This fluffy gentle boy is Burger Bun. He was brought into the shelter after being seized by the inspectors being kept in a terrible condition. This poor boy has been through the mill since coming in to us. His eyes were inflamed and sore and his teeth were in dire condition so he had a dental procedure done by specialist vets which has really helped him. He is picky about his food as it used to be painful for him to eat but he’s gradually getting around to liking new foods 🙂

Burger Bun is an older boy who has not had the best care in the past. It takes him a little while and a gentle hand to show him you mean no harm, so we think a quiet home who won’t fuss over him too much would be best for him. He loves to be out and about in the house and investigate what you’re doing so he’ll make a wonderful companion in a home when given the chance.  He is starting to eat hay on his own and he LOVES his nuggets so he’s improving all the time with us. Could you be the super home that Burger Bun deserves?

Thank you for choosing to adopt a small animal from the DPSCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 120 x 60cm.

Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not just pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need.

All our rabbits are spayed/neutered.
