What will happen to me when you’re gone?

“I’ve been your loyal companion my whole life and you are my whole world. I can’t imagine my life without you but what if one day this happens? Do you have a plan in place for me when you’re gone and I am left here without you. I know you want me to be happy and safe so please don’t forget about me”.

The DSPCA’s Pet Guardian Programme is a service available for pet owners nationwide. It gives you peace of mind that you have a plan in place for your pet. When you sign up to the programme, you are entrusting the care of your beloved pet(s) to the DSPCA at the time of your passing and we will find them a home where they will be loved and cherished because we care about your pet just much as you do.

Because we care about your pet as much as you do

As soon as we are informed that someone who is part of the programme has passed, we will be notified and DSPCA staff will collect your pet as a matter of urgency. They will be brought to our charity’s headquarters in Rathfarnham Dublin. We have a wonderful facility here at the DSPCA and all our staff  and care teams are dedicated caring people who are passionate about animals.  When the time is right our adoptions team will set about finding them a new home.
