Will you choose team DSPCA?

Entries for the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon are open and we need as many women as possible to join team DSPCA.

You can run, walk or crawl to help us raise much needed funds for all the animals in our care.

The event takes place on  Sunday 1st June 2025 and we hope to see you there.

Once you’ve registered for the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon please make sure to choose DSPCA as your chosen charity. You can set up your own online sponsorship page for the DSPCA HERE

“It was a privilege to run my first VHI Mini Marathon for the wonderful DSPCA and has now become something I look forward to each year. What kept me going through my initial training as someone who could barely run 500 meters was being filled with such purpose to help those who cannot help themselves and to stand up to cruelty by my commitment to the 10k run and raising necessary funds to make a difference to the welfare of the DSPCA animals. Mini Marathon fundraising tips & ideas

Tips

Once you have set up your Mini Marathon sponsorship page use it in as many ways as possible to help gather sponsorship.

  • Share the link on  your social media and WhatsApp groups to let friends and family know you are collecting for the DSPCA.
  • Contact local radio or newsletters, and ask for their support to share your fundraising page.
  • Consider organising a bake sale or a coffee morning to ask for support the DSPCA.
  • Get your family involved.  They could donate loose change, do a sponsored silence or donate a birthday – every single cent will help!
