We have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to grow within the shelter. The candidate will monitor the day to day running of the rehoming and rehabilitation kennels working closely with the adoptions team and our veterinary department. This position will be 4 days a week and will include weekend work.

Responsibilities

•Maintaining cleanliness of kennels

•Administration of medication & feeds 

•Exercising, socialising & providing environmental enrichment  

•Basic training & working on dogs behavioural issues 

•Upkeep of behavioural & medication sheets 

•Assisting with behavioural assessments

• 

Key requirements

•Must have dog handling experience

•Dog training experience is preferable and will help greatly for this role

•Understanding of canine body language  

•Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment 

•Strong team player  

•Good communication skills

•Good customer service skills  

•Ability to use own innovative

•Possess a strong personal work ethic
