Huckleberry was found as a stray by a member of the public and brought to the DSPCA for immediate veterinary care. He was severely underweight with significant muscle wastage. His body was covered in mange and he had several pressure sores from lying on hard cold surfaces. He was completely shut down and it took weeks of hand feeding him before he would eat from a bowl by himself. Huckleberry spent months in a foster home recovering while under our care before being adopted by them months later.
