Thank you for choosing to adopt a ferret from the DSPCA. We currently only have MALE ferrets available for adoption. You can register your interest for a ferret that you saw on any of our social media platforms or you can be added to a waiting list for when another suitable ferret becomes available for adoption..
Please make sure that before you think about adopting a ferret that you have a full set up ready for them to live in.
Ferrets are indoor pets. They require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Ferrets are very active pets and require lots of play time and interaction with their owners. They are not just pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. Make sure you have a plan in place if you are going on holidays, you can not just leave food and water and expect them to be ok while you're away. We have seen too many ferrets being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need. All our ferrets have been rescued from different situations. Anyone thinking of adopting please be 100% ready to offer them the best homes and be committed to caring for them their whole lives.
