Ellie originally came into the DSPCA from another rescue late last year. Shortly after she was adopted by a loving family. Due to a change in her families circumstances, they have had to make the difficult decision to surrender her back to the shelter in search of a new home. She is a really sweet natured and gentle girl. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people and needs some time to get to know you. She can be a little more weary of men but with patience she will slowly warm up to you. She is a very fun and playful girl who loves having some off lead time in dog parks and on beaches. She loves other dogs and gets on well with any dog she has encountered big or small. She loves her food and treats which makes her an ideal girl for training. She loves being around people and will follow you around the house. Because of this, she would be best suited to a home where there is someone home most of the time. She would also love a confident doggie pal to help her settle into her new home.
