Delphi was recently surrendered into the shelter by his owners who could no longer care for him. When dogs come into our care as an owner surrender it can be very stressful for them as being part of a loving family is all they know. We do our very best to help them settle but as we all know, there's no place like home. Delphi did nothing wrong, his family just couldn't look after him anymore. He is a playful, affectionate and fun loving boy who loves his walks, sussing out new areas and playtime with his humans. He adores belly scratches and thinks he is a lap dog!
Delphi has impaired hearing but being deaf does not hold Delphi back, he still lives his life to the fullest, loves to experience all the wonderful things life has to offer, is extremely responsive to his humans body language and he definitely can't wait to meet his new forever family.
Delphi could live with another dog pending a dog meet and training will certainly help him settle into into his new home. This fun loving enthusiastic boy will bring so much love, affection and joy to his new home. He's just waiting for the perfect family to come and meet him where he'll hopefully win their hearts so that they can fill his. With the right family Delphi could possibly live in an apartment as when he is in the adoptions office with his work humans, he loves to laze around and is not too boisterous.
