Heath came to the DSPCA when he was found as a stray. Sadly Heath has not had much exposure or positive associations to the outside world. Because of this he is quite nervous and can find everyday life a little scary. He went out on foster with one of our volunteers to help him gain abit of confidence. He done very well and loved his little holiday out of the shelter. Heath needs an owner who can continue to take him out on daily adventures and help show him the outside world is not as scary as it seems. He gets on well with other large dogs but would be best suited as the only dog in the home. Heath has been waiting patiently for that special someone, could it be you?

As a breed Lurchers are very affectionate and love human company. They love nothing more than lounging on the couch or a comfy bed after their exercise. Lurchers love to and need to run off lead. They burn energy very quickly but will happily do 2 x 45mins-1 hour walks daily. They are generally good with other dogs and can be vocal when playing. They love playing “bitey face” with other dogs. Adult training classes will help me settle into family life.
