Bob was brought to the DSPCA by our inspectors who rescued him from a very sad situation. As you can see from his before picture he wasn’t looked after or loved at all. His coat was so matted we could barley make out his sweet little face. He was in a lot of pain as the matts were pinching his skin making it very sore for him to walk. His ears were so overgrown with hair that he couldn’t really hear anything around him. He had a large lump on his neck that had to be removed. This sweet older man needs a quiet home with no other dogs and preferably only one owner. Bob guards his belongings like his bowl, toys, bed and his food. He has never had anything to call his own and so these items are so important to him and he wants to keep them safe. Once he has built a relationship and trust with you this behaviour goes away. He will come to you in his own time and once he likes you then he’ll be your friend for the rest of his life.
