The DSPCA is also home to rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and other small animals who have come to us from various situations and are available for adoption. When a rabbit or small animal finds themselves under our care, we ensure they get the proper facilities and veterinary care to lead a happy and healthy life. All of our small furries will be spayed or neutered before they go to their new homes. Rabbits, bunnies and guinea pigs may not be as common as a dog or a cat for a household pet but that does not mean they do not need as much care.
They are a wonderful addition to any family but have specific needs which we advise you to consider when choosing to adopt one. They require regular brushing to prevent matting and will need their nails trimmed regularly. They also need to be socialised and have a safe and adequate space where they can roam and be free to lead a happy healthy life.
If you are interested in adopting a small animal from the DSPCA please email email@example.com and we will inform you what animals are available at the time.
