Hi, I'm Vincent
I’m Vincent a.k.a. "Vinnie the Vegetarian" and I came to the DSPCA as an orphan, if you can believe it! I was all alone in this world until the kindest man found me and delivered me to the DSPCA Animal Rescue & Rehoming Centre.
I was bottle-fed by PJ and the animal care staff for the first 6 weeks of my life, which to be honest, has given me a bit of an identity crisis.
I’m not your run-of-the-mill pig. Maybe I imprinted off of PJ. One day I overheard someone talking about bacon buddies, pork chops and ham and cheese sandwiches. I was horrified! I mean the thought of it!
That very day I became a vegetarian, and proclaimed myself the official ‘Face For Vegetarians’ everywhere. Each night I philosophize with the chickens and think of ways to lead the campaign to eat more soy: Eat Soy Not Sow!
When you sponsor me you also get to sponsor Arnold and Nellie so you get three for the price of one!
Vincent is a Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pig who came to live at the DSPCA. in the spring of 2008. He mum was unwell and could not rear him so he was fostered by staff at the DSPCA.
Vincent is still young and will soon be as big as his ‘pen pals’ Arnold and Nellie. Vincent loves to meet and be petted by the children who visit on school tours and as with all pigs loves his food.
