Seagulls in Tallaght

Wednesday February 26, 2014

No, this isn't a preview of a League of Ireland game between Shamrock Rovers and Bray Wanderers! Liam, one of our Inspectors, was called to a house in Tallaght this morning when a fledgling seagull with a broken wing was reported by a concerned member of the public.

The bird no doubt struggled as a result of the recent strong winds around the east coast and may have been blown into cables, which is usually how seagulls are injured.

Members of the public should be aware that fledgling seagulls are born brown for the first few months and then their colour will change to white.

Find out more information on fledgling birds on our website.
