Christmas At The DSPCA

Friday November 11, 2011

Hi folks, it’s here again; the most wonderful, exciting time of the year, and the good folk at the DSPCA have told Santa that all his little friends and supporters were out in force every day being kind and considerate to each other and especially to animals so I am very much looking forward to visiting your homes with Buster, Rudolph and friends this Christmas. Perhaps I might even bring the snow with me again…Ho, Ho, Ho.

However, this year has been a particularly difficult one for poor old Santa and the staff and animals living at Ireland’s oldest, largest and best animal welfare shelter, the DSPCA.  They’ve had a bit of difficulty; you see, with the recession and all that.  It means Santa won’t be able to make his official visit this year and everyone is very sad because of it.

But don’t worry, I absolutely, totally, hand on my heart; Elf’s honour, promise to return next year for a bigger and better Christmas 2012.

In the meantime, just to keep all you lovely, wonderful boys and girls and mums and dads happy as well as all my friends at the DSPCA; the staff and volunteers at the shelter will have two, yep, you heard it...TWO, very special open days on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of December where we’ll be open from 10.00am to 6.00pm.

You can drop up and meet all the animals, have a cup of yummy hot chocolate and cookies, (tea and coffee for mum and dad), get a lovely gift from the staff; and you never know, a very special VIP guest may make a surprise appearance! And the good news is; it’s ALL FREE! Yippee!!!

Please drop up and support our animals.  Everyone is welcome. We’re so looking forward to seeing you all.
Lots of love and goodwill from
Santa and his special helper Buster, Jimmy and all the staff, volunteers and animals at the DSPCA.  Xxxx
