Spaying and neutering your pets is a vital part of responsible pet ownership as it manages the future populations of pets.
The DSPCA, who have been in existence since 1840, have always been advocators of the neutering and population control in all pets including more commonly dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets and horses.
Through its many free and subsidised neutering programmes, the DSPCA have neutered thousands of animals over the years. So far this year almost 1,000 cats and dogs have been neutered by the DSPCA in the first five months of the year. Over 522 cats and kittens and over 460 dogs have been neutered. We are calling on our supporters to help us to continue this vital work.
The DSPCA are today launching the Sponsor a Spay Campaign to help raise money to spay and neuter even more animals. For just €10 you can contribute towards the costs of spaying a cat or dog and helping the DSPCA to make a difference to animal’s lives now and in the future. Sign up your support through our website www.dspca.ie .
