DSPCA’s Great Irish Dog Walk in partnership with PURINA®

Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) Annual Great Irish Dog Walk, in partnership with PURINA®, will take place on Saturday 26th September 2015 in the DSPCA Campus in Rathfarnham.  This year’s event will launch the DSPCA’s new Dog Nature Trail, an approx. 2km enclosed dog walk around the perimeter of the DSPCA Campus with spectacular views over the Dublin Mountains and Dublin Bay and the City.  There will be lots of fun activities for adults, kids and dogs alike with bouncy castles, face painting, games, fun merry-go-round, dog agility demonstrations, market stalls, dog grooming demonstrations and lots, lots more.... Read more

Dog owner cruelly killed pet by repeatedly swinging it by lead and smashing it in to ground in Dublin park - The DSPCA have seen the outcome of today’s case brought by the DPP in relation to a Mr Liam Dowling who pleaded guilty to kicking his family dog to death in Clonliffe College in August 2014. DSPCA Summer PetFest 2015

This year's DSPCA Summer PetFest will be held on Saturday 13th June 2015 in the DSPCA, Rathfarnham, Mount Venus Road, Dublin 16 from 12 noon - 4pm.

It will be a fun filled day with lots of activities for adults, kids and dogs alike - We will have the DSPCA Scrufts Dog Show, dog agility, a Teddy Bear Hospital, hot food, a Teddy Bear Picnic, ice cream, games for the kids, a book stall, a bouncy castle, face painting, teas & coffee and lots, lots more.

Entrance is just €5 per adult with FREE Parking - kids and dogs go FREE too.

The DSPCA is today calling on the Minister for Agriculture, Simon Coveney, on animal welfare grounds, to carry out a thorough review of the puppy farm business in Ireland. The DSPCA says that the review is urgently required to ensure proper regulation of the appalling trade in animal misery that goes on in puppy farms across Ireland on a daily basis.... Read more


DSPCA Animal Care Certificate Summer Camp

The DSPCA in association with Kingofpaws training academy are running a 2 week summer camp for students ages 13 – 17 in the DSPCA Campus in Rathfarnham. We have space for 20 people each session and the course will cost €220 (10% discount for Junior Members). The DSPCA is continuing its investigations into puppy farming activity in Ireland and the export of large numbers of puppies to the UK.
