This article relates to the seizure of 116 puppies on the night of February 4 ,2015 by our inspectors who are authorised officers under the Animal Health and Welfare act 2013. This week the DSPCA have taken in 9 puppies, 5 of which were part of the seizure at Rosslare Port last week. We are delighted to be able to assist the Wexford SPCA and these animals, following a short period of foster care will be available for adoption. These puppies were seized because the owners did not have the correct paperwork or vaccinations to allow them be transported from the Republic of Ireland into the UK.... Read more

Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) Annual Great Irish Dog Walk, in partnership with PURINA®, will take place on Saturday 26th September 2015 in the DSPCA Campus in Rathfarnham. This year’s event will launch the DSPCA’s new Dog Nature Trail, an approx. 2km enclosed dog walk around the perimeter of the DSPCA Campus with spectacular views over the Dublin Mountains and Dublin Bay and the City. This year's DSPCA Summer PetFest will be held on Saturday 13th June 2015 in the DSPCA, Rathfarnham, Mount Venus Road, Dublin 16 from 12 noon - 4pm.
It will be a fun filled day with lots of activities for adults, kids and dogs alike - We will have the DSPCA Scrufts Dog Show, dog agility, a Teddy Bear Hospital, hot food, a Teddy Bear Picnic, ice cream, games for the kids, a book stall, a bouncy castle, face painting, teas & coffee and lots, lots more.
