Please note we ask for items to be new or in very good condition as it costs the centre money to dispose of unusable or broken items.


We urgently need to replace a 6 x 4 ft. trailer (single axel), that we use for moving our stable waste. Our old trailer has finally given up the ghost after many years of service. We would be very grateful if anyone has one they would be willing to donate. Please contact PJ Doyle at our rescue and rehoming centre (01 4994700).

We are also looking to receive your used postage stamps.  Just collect a bunch and post them to Gillian Bird, Dublin SPCA, Mount Venus Road, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16.

Our Animals Mental Health is very important to us so we are always looking for ways to stimulte them and enhance their living areas so if you have any of the following we would love you to drop them to the shelter:

  • Dog and Cat toys (Toys should be washable with no moving parts that could be ingested)
  • Toy Balls (can be footballs, rugby, basketballs, tennis balls)
  • Cat/Kitten playgrounds & jungle gyms (should be washable with no moving parts that could be ingested)
  • Hard Plastic Young Childs Playhouses or Wendyhouses and small all-plastic Slide

Either New or in Very Good Condition

  • Newspapers (no shiny magazines)
  • Towels with no holes or rips. (We cannot accept old blankets, duvets, pillows, sheets, pillowcases, duvet covers as we are unable to wash and dry them quickly)
  • Animal Carriers
  • Dog Leads & Collars
  • Cat Collars
  • Packets of Baby Nappy Bags (used as pooper scoopers by our dog walkers) 
  • Plastic Dog Beds
  • Food Bowls - stainless steel only please so we can sterilize them
  • Grooming Brushes & Combs - for all types of animals (dogs, cats, horses, etc)
  • Large Car Sponges
  • Dog Coats (we have some dogs like greyhounds that need dog coats in winter)
